How Aloha ABCs handles information.

Aloha ABCs is provided by Rocket Ranch Studios LLC. This policy describes the Aloha ABCs iPhone, iPad and Android apps and contacting us for support.

Playing the game

You do not need to create a game account or provide your name, email address, age, location, photographs or recordings to play. The app does not include advertising, chat or user profiles. We do not add gameplay analytics or advertising trackers. The Android app uses Google Play Billing, whose operational diagnostics are described below. Game pictures, text and voice recordings are included with the app.

Information saved on your device

The app can save your chosen languages and settings, including sound volumes, game speed, text display, birds and balls. It also keeps a local record of whether the full game is unlocked. The upcoming language-access update stores the starting device language, trial start and expiry/checkpoint information, and the permanent additional free-language choice on the device to enforce the language offer. This information supports the app on your device; the app does not send these preferences to a Rocket Ranch Studios server.

Save Settings controls whether the app remembers the Settings screen’s preferences. The Languages screen has a separate saving option. Reset Settings restores gameplay settings; it does not remove your app-store purchase, restart a language trial or erase the permanent additional free-language choice.

Local records remain on the device until changed or removed as supported by the app or operating system. Device backup, restoration and protected storage can affect which records persist. Uninstalling must not be assumed to restart a trial or remove records held by a store. A free App Store trial activation and an App Store full-game purchase remain associated with the Apple account; a Google Play purchase remains associated with the Google account.

Purchases through the app stores

The optional full-game unlock is processed by Apple through the App Store on iPhone and iPad, or by Google through Google Play on Android. The app receives purchase information needed to check ownership, acknowledge delivery where required, and unlock content. The free App Store language trial also uses an Apple transaction: the app checks its verified original activation date and revocation state to determine the remaining trial period. The Android language trial is started and maintained on the device. We do not receive your payment-card details through the app. Apple and Google process purchase and account information under their own Apple privacy policy and Google privacy policy. Purchases are associated with the store and account where they were made; they do not transfer between Apple and Google Play.

Android billing diagnostics

On Android, the Google Play Billing library automatically sends technical billing diagnostics to Google when billing connects and operates. This can happen without making a purchase. The information includes app and library versions, Android and device technical details, network and locale information, billing results, errors and timing, and randomly generated identifiers for a billing-client session or billing flow. These records support the operation and diagnosis of Google’s billing service. They are separate from gameplay analytics and advertising tracking.

The library sends diagnostic records to Google over an encrypted HTTPS connection. There is no in-game setting to turn off these billing diagnostics. The app does not send them to a Rocket Ranch Studios server. Google controls its processing and retention of billing information and diagnostics under its privacy policy. Removing local app data does not delete records held by Google.

Children

The game does not ask children to submit personal information. A written number challenge precedes the purchase offer. Parents and guardians can adjust sound, language and gameplay settings.

Voluntary support messages

If you choose to email us, we receive your email address and the information you include so we can respond to your support request. Your email service and the service handling our mailbox process that correspondence. Please have a parent or guardian contact us, and avoid including a child’s name, photograph, voice recording or other unnecessary personal information.

For questions about support correspondence, including its retention or a request for deletion, contact us at the address below. Deleting the game does not delete email you have sent separately.

This website

These pages contain no advertising, analytics scripts, tracking pixels or forms. Opening a web page sends a request to the service hosting it; website delivery is separate from the game’s local settings and gameplay data. Contact us with questions about information associated with your visit.
